Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SweepBox, a Chrome browser extension that helps you clean up mailing-list email in your Gmail inbox. By installing or using SweepBox, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the extension.

1. The service

SweepBox ("the Service", "we", "our", "us") scans your Gmail inbox via Google's official Gmail API, identifies mailing-list senders, and provides bulk unsubscribe and delete actions.

2. Account and eligibility

• You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use SweepBox
• You must have a valid Google account
• You are responsible for keeping your Google account, SweepBox license key, and any associated devices secure
• You agree to use SweepBox only on Gmail accounts you own or have explicit permission to manage

3. Free and Pro tiers

Free tier: No payment required. Subject to usage caps (currently 50 unsubscribes and 2,500 deletes total). We may adjust these caps with reasonable notice via the extension.

Pro tier: Available for $4.99 USD per year (or local-currency equivalent at Stripe's prevailing rate). Pro unlocks unlimited unsubscribes and deletes, priority email support, and any other features marked as Pro-only.

Pro entitlement is tied to a license key issued by us at the time of purchase. The license is valid for one year from the date of activation and may be used across your devices via the "Restore purchase" flow.

4. Payment and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not see or store your payment card details.

Refund policy: You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase by emailing [email protected], provided you have used Pro features for fewer than 100 cumulative actions (combined unsubscribes + deletes). Refund requests after 14 days, or after substantial use of the Pro tier, are at our discretion.

Subscription is not automatic-renewing by default. You will receive an email reminder near the end of your year and may renew at the then-current price.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use SweepBox to access or modify mail in any Google account you do not own or have explicit permission to manage
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute SweepBox or any Pro license
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the extension other than in accordance with your legal rights
• Use SweepBox to send unsolicited communications or otherwise violate the Gmail terms of service or any applicable law
• Use automated tools to circumvent the Free-tier limits or other technical controls

We may suspend or revoke your license without refund if we have reasonable belief you have violated these rules.

6. Intellectual property

The SweepBox extension, including its source code, branding, design, and documentation, is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the extension as installed from the Chrome Web Store, for personal or internal-business use, subject to these Terms.

7. Third-party services

SweepBox relies on:

• Google's Gmail API — your use is subject to Google's Terms of Service
• Stripe — your purchases are subject to Stripe's Services Agreement

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or behavior of these third parties.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING (WITHOUT LIMITATION) WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from rate-limit failures imposed by Google
• All unsubscribe actions will result in the sender ceasing to send you mail (this is the sender's responsibility, not ours)
• All emails moved to Trash can be recovered (Gmail's standard 30-day Trash window applies)
• Scan results are exhaustive (some senders may use non-standard headers we cannot detect)

You acknowledge that SweepBox modifies your Gmail inbox at your direction and that we cannot guarantee perfect outcomes.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US (IF ANY) IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR US$5.00, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those jurisdictions liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, or expense arising out of (a) your misuse of the Service, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

You may stop using SweepBox at any time by uninstalling it from Chrome and (optionally) revoking its Gmail access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. On termination, sections 6, 8, 9, and 10 survive.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced through the extension. Continued use after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
